Having correctly configured postfix in virtualmin, you will be able to access and send mails from roundcube. However, problem arises when you try to send via SMTP and you may run into the error “SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host”. To solve this error, do the following:

    1. Log into the virtualmin dashboard and select the server from which you want to send emails.
    2. Go to Server configuration > SSL certificate and click the last tab (service certificates).
    3. Scroll down the page and click copy to postfix.
    4. Now to to your SMTP configuration page and change port to 465 and select security settings to SSL.
    5. Bingo.
